When Hollywood makes the leap into “talkies”, silent film star Don Lockwood and his best friend Cosmo, with the help of an aspiring actress, must salvage their careers by turning their latest picture into a musical spectacular. Faithfully adapted from the MGM classic, this musical extravaganza includes tap-dance favorites like “Good Mornin’,” “Good Mornin',” and, of course, “Singin’ in the Rain.” Don’t forget your umbrella!

Ebone-Camille Amos (Ensemble, Assistant Director) is a Memphis native and recent graduate from the University of Memphis with a degree in Dance Education. At the U of M, she studied ballet, modern and composition and attended ACDFA from 2010-2012. She is currently dancing with Behind Barres and BSP while teaching inner-city youth. She has been in regional productions of Hairspray, Ragtime, Footloose and A Chorus Line. She would like to thank Jesus and everyone at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse for an amazing opportunity to perform in NY!
Roberto Araujo (Ensemble, Hairdresser) is thrilled to make his MRG debut! His favorite NYC credits are: Jackson Heights 3am, Angelina Ballerina – The Musical, Aida at The Metropolitan Opera. Regional credits: Altar Boyz, Xanadu, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. International credits: Rent in Mexico City, Fame on tour in China, The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Germany. Molly Jean Blodgett (Ensemble, Zelda, Zanders, Assistant Director, u/s Lina Lamont) is thrilled to be returning to Merry-Go-Round where she has previously been seen in Kiss Me, Kate and My Fair Lady! She has also previously been seen in NYU productions such as Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gloria), Violet, Sweet Charity, and Nine. Other favorite shows include A Chorus Line (Judy), Crazy for You, and 42nd St. She has just graduated from NYU-Tisch School of the Arts (Cap21) with a BFA in Drama. Much love to her ever supportive and beautiful family and friends!
Kimberly Doreen Burns (Kathy Selden) is thrilled to return to Merry-Go-Round Playhouse! Last summer she played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and was awarded the Broadway World Award for her performance. MGR credits: Esther in Meet Me In St. Louis (S.A.L.T. Award Nom.), Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (S.A.L.T. Award Nom.), Becky in Do Black Patent Leather...Up?, Erma in Anything Goes, and Rusty in Footloose. Selected credits: Sandy in the National Tour of Grease starring Frankie Avalon, Guenevere in Camelot (dir. by Ted Pappas), Philia in A Funny Thing...Forum (directed by James Brennan), Gretchen in Faustus, the Musical, and Tokyo Disneyland. Kimberly holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College and is working towards her MFA in Musical Theatre at San Diego State University. Geno Carr (RF Simpson) is thrilled to return for his 16th musical at MGR and share the stage with his beautiful wife, Nancy. Favorite MGR Credits: The Producers (Leo), The Full Monty (Harold), Forever Plaid (Sparky), South Pacific (Billis), Peter Pan (Smee). Off-Broadway: Bush Wars. National Tours: Phantom, Buddy Holly Story, Grease. Recent Credits: Allegiance (Corporal White), Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Papa Who) at The Old Globe; Assassins (Guiteau) at Cygnet Theatre; Servant of Two Masters (Truffledino) at Lamb’s Players. Education: BA, Hartwick College; MFA, Sarah Lawrence College.
Nancy Snow Carr (Lina Lamont) is thrilled to work at MGR and share the stage with her husband, Geno. National Tours: Phantom, The Buddy Holly Story. Regional: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Old Globe Theatre); RESPECT (Phoenix and San Diego); The Servant of Two Masters (Lamb’s Players Theatre, world premiere musical); Summer of ‘42 (Round House, DC premiere); Crimes of the Heart (Babe); The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Sunny); South Pacific (Nellie); I Love You, You’re Perfect…; and City of Angels (Bobbi/Gabby). Nancy also operates a private voice studio in San Diego. BFA, Elon University; MFA, SDSU.
Andrew DiConcetto (Ensemble, Wardrobe Mistress, u/s Cosmo Brown) is thrilled to be a part of the Merry-Go-Round season! Originally from Bethlehem, PA, Andrew received a BFA from NYU’s CAP21 musical theatre program. Most recently he was seen performing for Norwegian Cruise Line in the Caribbean and Hawaii. Other credits include CATS (National Tour), Babes in Toyland (Lincoln Center), About Face (NYMF festival), and West Side Story (Allenberry Playhouse). He would like to thank his wonderful family and friends for their never-ending love and support!
Grace Freeman (Ensemble/ Lady in Waiting): Grace is excited to join the MGR family this season! She has recently performed in the NYC world premiere of Luis Salgado's Amigo Duende, the Lucille Lortel Awards, the BC/EFA Easter Bonnet, the Career Transitions for Dancers Gala with Randy Skinner at City Center, and Hollywood to Broadway in Shanghai, China. Proud NYU Gallatin graduate. Love to my family and friends for their support and gratitude to Ed and Lori for welcoming me to MGR!
Abigail Gatlin (Ensemble, Lady in Waiting) is thrilled to be making her debut at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse! Most recently she was seen performing as a Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Favorite credits include Bombalurina in CATS, Marty in Grease, and Guildenstern in Hamlet. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College. Endless thanks to her family and to God for these opportunities.
Amanda LaMotte (Ensemble/US Kathy) is so excited to be making her MGR debut! Favorite past credits include - National tours: CATS (Kitten Swing), Dragon Tales Live (Emmy). Regional: Music Man (Agnes), A Chorus Line (Kristine), Hello, Dolly! (Ermengarde), Bye, Bye, Birdie! (Kim), Grease (Frenchy). Bart Mather (Ensemble, Rod, Sid Phillips, Villain, u/s R.F. Simpson, Roscoe Dexter) is pumped to be spending the summer at Merry-Go-Round! He was recently seen in Brett Smock's reading of The Mudge Boy and previously was in the NYMF productions of Le Cabaret Grimm and Matchmaker, Matchmaker, I'm Willing to Settle. A graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Bart appeared in American Repertory Theater's The Donkey Show and Prometheus Bound. Michael Nye (Diction Teacher) is thrilled and honored to be returning to the MGR stage for the 8th time. MGR credits include: The Sound of Music, Footloose, The Music Man, The King and I, The Producers, Man of La Mancha, and 42nd Street. Thanks to the cast and crew for a great run. Terry Palasz (Dora Bailey) is thrilled to make her MGR debut! She’s been seen Off-Broadway in Williamsburg the Musical! and Emma! (NYMF) and recently performed onstage with Carson Kressley in Damn Yankees (Ogunquit Playhouse) and in a Comedy Central pilot with Gallagher. Favorite Regional: Yeston’s Phantom (Carlotta), Little Night Music (Charlotte), La Perichole (Perichole), NINE (Mama Maddelena) and Saturday Night Fever (Flo). Her one-woman show, The Polish Diva from Milwaukee, has been performed nationally and her CD is heard on polka radio stations.
Emily Palmquist (Ensemble) is proud to call herself a 2013 MGR Season Company Member! She was most recently seen in MGR's production of Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl), directed and choreographed by Brett Smock. Other previous productions include Gateway Playhouse’s CATS (Tantomile/US Bombalurina) and My Fair Lady (Ensemble). She has also had the privilege to work with choreographers such as David Marquez, Jacob Brent, Al Blackstone, Linda Talcott Lee, and Maria Torres. Jamie Patterson (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his musical theatre debut this summer! A native of Elizabeth City, NC, Jamie studied dance at Wake Forest University and North Carolina School of the Arts. Now a resident of New York City, he dances with contemporary company, BEings Dance, as well as jazz company, Link Dance Company. He thanks his family and friends for their unwavering encouragement and for believing in his musical theatre potential!

Sean Quinn (Production Tenor, US Don Lockwood) Thrilled to be at MGR! Favorite Credits include the international tour of R&H's Cinderella starring Lea Salonga, US National tours of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Andre U/S) and Joseph..Dreamcoat (Reuben). Regional: Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain (DHT), Bobby in A Chorus Line (NSMT), Greg in A Chorus Line (Stages St Louis), and was featured in 42nd Street with Randy Skinner (WBT) and Sugar Babies Starring Beth Leavel. Ethan Saviet (Ensemble) is thrilled to be spending the summer working on MGR's season. He is currently a junior at Syracuse University studying musical theatre. He most recently appeared in the SU drama department's production of Violet playing various roles. He would like to thank his family and friends for their endless love and support.
Cody Walker (Don Lockwood) is thrilled to be playing one of his dream roles in his MGR debut! From Sacramento, Cody resides in San Diego as an MFA candidate in SDSU’s Musical Theater program. Cody holds a BFA in Music/Dance/Theater from BYU where he met his wife Valerie. Together they have performed in over 30 countries and most of the US. Favorite roles: Billy- 42nd Street – Natl’ Tour, Danny-Grease, Bobby-Crazy for You, Joseph-Joseph and the…Dreamcoat, Fred Astaire in the west coast premiere of Backwards in High Heels, Orin-Little Shop of Horrors, Frankie-Forever Plaid, Sky Masterson-Guys and Dolls, Henrik-A Little Night Music, Ren-Footloose and Tommy-The Music Man. Other credits: Swing!, Oklahoma!, I Love a Piano, White Christmas, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and the west coast premiere of Georgia Stitt’s, Hello My Baby! Cody represented 42nd Street on-stage with Randy Skinner at the NY City Center at CTFD’s Annual Gala. Look for Cody in the upcoming film "Abandoned Mine". Cody is a proud father of two, 4-year-old daughter Ava and 2-year-old son Jesse!
Bruce Warren (Roscoe Dexter) feels honored to reprise his role, having previously played Dexter at MGR pre-renovations in 2003. Other MGR appearances: Chicago, Ragtime, Drowsy Chaperone, Spelling Bee, Kiss Me, Kate, My Fair Lady, Man of La Mancha, Sound of Music, Anything Goes, Titanic, Footloose, South Pacific. OFF-BROADWAY: The Road to Qatar! NATIONAL TOURS: 25th Anniversary Cats, First National Oklahoma!, A Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz. Chaz Wolcott (Ensemble) is honored to make his Merry-Go-Round debut splashing around in Singin’ in the Rain. The Gene Kelly movie inspired Chaz to dance since childhood! National Tour: Mr. Mistoffelees in Cats. Regional: Andy Lee in 42nd Street (Lyric Theatre OKC), Yonkers/US Tulsa in Gypsy (Fulton Theatre), Gateway Playhouse, Westchester Broadway, The Fireside, Casa Mañana, MT Wichita, Gretna Theatre.
